I named this newsletter No Blueprint because there is NO blueprint in the sports world. It is an untraditional space where half the time you get jobs before they are posted. There are 500 different ways to the top and I look forward to sharing some of those with you. Thanks for reading!

Summer League recap
As NBA Summer League continues to grow more and more people flood Vegas. It’s almost turning into a Final Four type of vibe. This year was great because you had EYBL and Summer League all out there in one spot. Below are my takeaways.
What I noticed
Summer league continues to grow. It almost has a final four feeling to it now.
If you use it the right way it can be one of the most efficient weeks of the year. You can see people from all over the world or country in the same day.
Fountain Blu and The Wynn are the hotels that draw the most NBA / College personnel.
Two waves. First wave of people come in Wednesday leave Saturday night. Second wave comes in Sunday leaves Wednesday.
Colleges are starting to bring their programs out there. They practice, see a concert, and connect with alums over dinner.
Why you should go
There are very few events where you can meet with someone from Serbia at 12pm and someone from Maine at 1pm. Point being there are people from everywhere.
Ability to learn from others. There are professional development workshops.
Events at night. You can jump around and see 10 agencies over two or three nights.
With EYBL out there now you kill two birds with one stone.
5. Create moments with people that matter. When building relationships you want to be genuine. With the amount of people out there you can meet face to face and work on that.
How to attack it
Do your homework early. Make a plan.
Reach out to people you want to meet with a month out. Follow up two weeks, 1 week, 2 days out.
Rent a car. Parking isn’t bad at the events I think you can end up saving money vs Ubers.
Say excuse me or wait. If you see someone talking that you want to speak with do not just barge in.
Work the concourse. Everyone will pass through or stand there.
