I named this newsletter No Blueprint because there is NO blueprint in the sports world. There are 500 different ways to the top and I look forward to sharing some of those with you. Good luck this week!

One way to standout: If you don’t know the answer say “I don’t know but i’ll find out.” Too many people are scared/prideful to say idk and rather be right.

Networking tip: A few calls a day is better than no calls a day. Call people and check on them, don’t wait till the portal opens to be asking for help.

1 Idea for you

Here are 8 ways to provide value in season as a young coach.

Here is how you do it:

  1. Drive players to doctors appointments.

  2. Rebound for coaches and players during workouts.

  3. Say yes to everything.

  4. Be around. Show up early stay late.

  5. Take things off other coaches plate. Ask what they may need help with.

  6. Complete tasks. Be the guy who can get stuff done with only having to be asked once.

  7. Make sure guys have their sneakers, passports, etc on road trips.

  8. Build great relationships with the players. Get them in the gym at night.
